Camp Concert

When I went up on stage I felt nervous because there were lots of people in the audience watching our group dance. Before we went up on stage I was talking to my friend in front of me. The reason why I was talking was because I was talking about why I was nervous.

My groups name was called the Respect Squad. After we did the ‘Poi e’ dance I felt so happy because that was the funniest dance I have ever done. When Respect Crew went up I thought that our group was going to go last. Well when I heard our group go up I was so nervous.

When we went in the hall all of our groups had to sit in lines. When we when in there was only two groups of us in the hall but when it came to the last part every one came in the hall. When I was watching all the groups I thought the were all cool.

When Mr Barks was telling us about who was the judges I was thinking that they were looking at how good the groups were. The judges names were April, Shatna and Bruce. I can't remember who won the prize for the best camp item, but it wasn't my group.

Picnic

Picnic

On Friday morning Mr Burt put up a picnic for our school. When we arrived at the Pt England reserve. When we arrived Mr Burt was giving us some advice about how we have to respect the reserve.

After he finished talking room 21,22,19 and 18 went to go and find a shade for us to sit under when we arrived I was excited because I thought that all my friends were cool play with.


When I thought about picking a game of sports I thought to my self and said whats a game that could make my friends laugh. When I picked a game I thought that this game was exciting which was soft-ball. When I played this game made me realized that this game could make me run. After I finished playing soft-ball I went back to the shade and lunch.

After that I went to go and play volleyball. When I saw my friend by her self I asked if she wanted to come and have a game with us. When I noticed that I couldn’t play I thought that it wasn’t hard at all. Witch made me think that I sucked at it. Then when I noticed that the ball was coming at me I just hit it as hard as I could then it went over and scored more points for my team.

After I finished doing that I went down the steps and went around the corner I wondered to my self that if I should make a sand so I sat down and watch all my friends make one and what I did was wrote I love you down then said done by Stephanie. And made a sand castle right be side it.

When I wondered to my self I thought that my friends made a lot of amazing things in there mind. So what I did I watched them then wondered that I could do that one day. When I started to walk away I sat down where the speakers were then all of a sudden Brooke and Aneisha asked me if I wanted to play rugby so I said yup. Then they asked if Tauwhared wanted to play rugby then she said yes.

When we started playing the game Brooke kicked it off then Tauwhared grabbed the ball and started running up. Once she grabbed the ball she passed the ball straight to me and then I started running up then I passed it to Tauwhared and she got a try for our team. Then when Mrs Tele’a asked us to play touch not rugby.

So we went over to the other side and started playing touch. Then when David came he asked Brooke if he could play with us and Brooke said yes then she said to that I couldn’t play. Then I asked if we were allowed to get another person. Then she said yup go and ask if Mele wanted to play so I went over to ask and she said yup OK.

Then when the game finished Miss V asked us and the visitors if we wanted to sing. When the singing game finished Mr Burt said that we had to pack up and clean everything we done and pick up the rubbish.

Netball

Wow I was so excited when our class went to netball. When we started playing netball I was excited because we learnt lots of information and skills.

When Liz showed us some moves we first learnt how to pivot. We had to partner up with the person beside us. Once we had partnered up we had to get ready then had to pivot with the partner we were with. When Liz showed us more moves about pivot we had to run then defend the person that pretended to have the ball. Liz showed us lots of skills and I was nervous that I couldn’t do it.

When I went up I tried it out then gave the next person a turn. After we finished Liz told us that we had to play ball tiggy but the rules were we had to touch them with the we weren’t allowed to throw it at the person who never had the ball. The other thing was when we had to defend the other team weren’t allowed to hit us because the game was like netball.

When we played we were all excited and happy because the other team keep going for one person at a time some times when we played the game and we touch the out line then we would of been out. When we started playing Ball tiggy I was excited because I thought that ball tiggy was a good game to play out on the courts.

The Treaty of Waitangi

On the 6th of February 1840 the Treaty was signed in the Bays of Island. The Treaty was between the Maori and Pakeha people. The people who were part of it were James Busby, Hone Heke, Tamati Waka Nene and William Hobson.

When the Treaty started they began to have a meeting because they were fighting over the land.

When the meeting started there was a man who had translated English into Maori. His name is Henry Williams. The Maori people who were there was Hone Heke, Tamati Waka Nene and
the Pakeha people were James Busby, Henry Williams, and William Hobson.

Holidays

In the school holiday's my friends and I went to the beach to have some fun. During the holidays when we went to the beach we had a quick swim then hopped out and got changed. After I finished having a swim I yelled out to Denim and told her that I was leaving. On my way home I kept looking back to see if they were keeping up. On the way home when I turned to Ropata Ave they were there before me.

When I went home I got changed. Then I came back out to see If Katrina and Paige were playing out side and waiting for me to go to the park. When we arrived at the park we all started to play on a spinning donut. After we finished playing at the park I wondered if they wanted to go to my house to have a water splash instead. Once I thought about that Katrina said to me "why not?"

So I went to go get changed and came out and a few seconds later we saw Denim go pass. When we saw her we asked if she wanted to have a water splash with us. After we asked her she replied back to us and said but i haven't got any clothes to wear so I said to her just wear that instead so she just grabbed a water bottle and splashed it every where around her. Then when she grabbed a water bottle and started chasing after me.

After she had finished I grabbed a bucket and filled it up and started chasing after Denim and threw it over her head. Then after she finished having a water splash she got changed then grabbed her netbook and started taking video’s of us. After we finished we were excited the first part of the water splash. When we finished we all talked to ourselves and said should we go to the library then we went there and played on the netbook for a couple of minutes then we went to the internet cafe to see if Katrina’s brother was at there.


When it started to get dark Katrina and Paige slept over my house during that time we had dinner. After we had our dinner we watched movies all night then fell to sleep.

Holidays

Christmas

Christmas Holidays.

Yea!! I can’t wait for Christmas to come. Then when it comes I’m going to open up my presents. When I open them up I’m going to play on my games and invite some friends over to my house and play with me on my games.

Once I open them I’m going to be so exited that I got stuff from my mum. When Christmas starts I’m going to wait for a while and go shopping with my mum and have fun with her during Christmas day.

Then when I get all my presents I’m going to play on them straight away and play on them day and night. But when I invite my friends I’m going to show them my games that my mum gave me for Christmas. I’m going to make her dinner on Christmas night.

Athlettics day

Athletics day

Wednesday morning our school had Athletics day. During that day we had 100m sprints. Before we started, we started off doing Discus and rotating over to other Athletics sports day.

And when we started we were nerves that we will come last. And after everything happened i started to feel happy.

And after we rotated we kept rotating every day Intel school was finished. Before school finished we done the thing’s like Discus, Shot put, High jump, javelin, 100m sprints, Soft ball throws, triple jump, Relay’s for the people who got chosen for the team to win.

On Wednesday i enjoyed my self playing with lots of athletics equipment. Then when it came to sprinting i enjoyed racing with Hossanah,Sylvia,Toreka and Aliza. When we had sprints we had races and enjoyed.

After we finished we had relays and teams to see what team would won. But when it came to the second to last relays we lost our because Shontal didn’t know that we had to run all the way to the end so that Matatua could win the team colour in our school.

Before the relays finished we had high jump to see if any of the girls came 1,2,3 in high jump.

But when it came to the people who went first. We had to wait until they had finished. But when I went to go and try my best I fell down and slipped. After I slipped in I had to sit down and wait untill the other people had finished.

Manaiakalani

Manaikalani film festival


Last week on Wednesday our class went to the Manaiakalani film festival. The Manaikalani festival was held in Sylvia park. During that day our class was just about to get in the bus so that we will be there on time. When we arrived we walked on the escalator and ended up at the Movie’s.

Then when we arrived we saw different schools like Glen brae and
Tamaki intermediate. Then on the way we were walking the teacher’s were looking for chair’s for us to sit in. Then once we got seated the teacher’s were sorting thing’s out for them self ‘s. During that time the presenters were going to get started for us to see them presenting on stage.

Then when the presenters came out on stage they were showing them self that they could do more work for them self's. And when the movie started we set back and relaxed. The movie that i enjoy the most was Point England school I Smile. Then when it came to the last part of the movie i was so excited that i was going to jump up and down.

Tamaki Tech

On Monday Pt England students goes to Tamaki College to do Technology. When there’s tech we always have to split up and go to different classes to do Graphics, Wood,Cooking,Science,Electronics. Every time we go there we learn lots of experiences from different classes we go to.

Every time we go to different classes we learn to do Graphics and more stuff like paper Mache and decorate our names.Some time's we
have to listen to the teacher every time we finish our paper Mache. Then when we finish we have to work on different kind of work have to do .

Then every time we have to get the stuff ready so that we could grub it for us to do our decorations. We made a mask and had to wait until the glue dries. Then when the glue finish drying we had to paper colour it in to more work we had done. Then once we finished doing our work we had to clean up and wash the paint brushes then do the table then finish what we had to do .

Then on our way to school we always walk there then when we got there we had just arrived to school we had to wait for our teacher to let us go.
Before we went to Tamaki College we had to walk or the way down there to try our best in technology and try our best to put more effort in our work.
Because when we get down there those teachers teach us what to do.


When we always try our best we work and work hard as we can so that we could get more points in our report’s so that we could get more and more learning in to it. Then when we finish we could get more learning in to it so that we have showed that we have done more work.

Riverside Camp

Holiday’s highlight

The first week we started the holiday’s was exciting. On Saturday the first day was so fun that I had to pack my bag’s and had to wait for one more day and then when it came to Monday we went to Willow Park. On the way when we went there it was fun that we were all talking to each other. Then when we got there we had to sit in line to see what group we were in.

When we went to Willow Park we had to sit down and waited until Mr Burt told us to to get in line. Before we went in line we met some men called Luke, Jono and some one else. During that day we all had to put our bag’s up stairs in our room’s. Then when we were finished packing our stuff up stairs we had to go down stairs and sit down in our line’s

Before we done everything we had to listen to Mr Burt at everything he had said. After that Mr Burt had put the year 8 for the river side leader.
Every time there’s people who’s setting up Mr Burt would give us play Money for our point’s. Then every time he would count the money when we usually have our dinner or lunch.

Then when it was coming to night time we played spot light at night time then when we stopped we had we had to go up stair’s to brush our teeth
then when we were finished we had to get changed in our p.j’s.

Silly Sports Day

On Tuesday after morning tea we had a year 7 and 8 play day. During that time we had to stay with our teacher and play our game ball Tiggy. When we finished playing with our teacher Mrs Lagitupu we had to rotate over to Miss Tito .

When we went to Miss Tito we all sat down and lined up so that everyone could get each turns at playing sling shot . Before we started we had to listen to Miss Tito. When we were listening to Miss Tito we all had a turn each at playing sling shot with a ball. When we played sling shots we had to try our best to get it in the hoola hoop so that we could get us some points. When we were waiting for other people to have a turn we had to wait in line like other people do. After we finished with Miss Tito we had to rotate to Mr Harris.

When we went to Mr Harris he was telling us some information about what we had to do. While he was talking he asked us to get in pair’s so that it would of made it hard for us to drop the ball.
While he was telling us some information he was saying that we had to tie our feet together and try to carry the tennis ball and the spoon. After we had finished with Mr Harris we had to a rotation with Mrs Nua.

When we went to Mrs Nua we saw buckets and sponge’s in water. While Mrs Nua was telling us some information we all had to listen to Miss S and so that we knew what group number we could go into.

When we got started we had to line up in a group and try to put more water in the
sponge. If the water was coming out of the sponge we would of had a little bit of water in our bucket. When we had to line up we had to keep moving at the back so that we could put more and more water in our bucket.

When Mrs Nua and Miss S stopped the game Miss S had to look at each bucket to see who had the most water in there bucket. Then when Mrs Nua asked Miss S who had the most water in there bucket . Miss S said that the number one group had the most water in there bucket. Then when Mrs Nua finished asking Miss S
then Mrs Nua had told us that we had won.

My favourite part of the day was playing with Mrs Nua’s game’s.

Canada

We have been learning about the countries that are coming to the Rugby World Cup. I have been learning about Canada.

Holiday highlights

On Friday morning my mum and I did my homework together in my room. Then when I finished I asked if I was allowed to go to the library. When I got half way I checked if there were any cars coming towards me. Then when a car came past I quickly crossed the road and went to the library.

Then when I got there I saw Brooke and her brother’s and her sister. Then before I went to Brooke I had to log on to get me a computer. So she came to me and ask what I’ve been doing. And after that I said nothing so I went to go and play connect for with Alazay.

Then when I came in she asked me if she can play on my bike so I said let’s make a deal. So she said yes then I replied to her and said that if I win on connect for and you win then if you lose then you can’t play on it then she ok.

What I liked about the library was having fun on the computer with my friends. As soon as I finished playing on the computer I went home for lunch. Then by time I got home I asked my mum if I could cook. So I got out the frying pan then started to cook me some lunch. As soon as
I finished I went to Glen Innes and walked into the Internet cafe to see if any of my friend’s were there.

So as I finished looking for my friends I walked out and went to the library to go and play on the computer when it was my turn to hop on.

The Science Road show

Us Point England intermediate kids went to Tamaki College to go and see the Science Road Show. At the road show there were people from our school that won a prize. At Tamaki there was another school that came too. So when we arrived St Heliers School started to walk out the door. And during the day we saw some interesting things that they made.

So on that day what I enjoyed the best was looking at the skeleton when it disappeared. And what I liked about the road show was having fun with the part when we have to put the ball inside the big humungous ball player.

But during the end there were two people who had to go up and get their prize. Then we got started before the people went up to go and get their prize. When we had to listen to the man who was telling us the instructions we were not allowed to touch the things that was behind him.

In the weekend

In the weekend my friend Aneisha came for a sleep over. On Saturday morning Aneisha and I went to the park and played on the rope swing. On that day Aneisha and I went home then my friend that lived across from me came and visited me. When she came over she asked me if I wanted to sleep over at her house, but then Aneisha walked out the door and she was going home. I asked her where she was going, but she just kept walking and not talking to me.

When my next door neighbour got home I asked if he could take my friends home. So we went to go and pick up Aneisha and asked her to get in the car. When she got in we took her home then we said “see you at school”. On the way home, we started thinking about what we should do.

So on that day after school we went to Aneisha’s house then asked her mum for if she was allowed to come to my house. Her mum said “yes” then we went to my house.

Caring

My movie is about Caring. When someone is feeling sad you can make them feel better if you play with them. You can be a caring friend. I hope you like my movie.

Camp TC

Camp

On the first day of camp I had to take my bags to the hall. I felt happy. I was in the Participatorz. On the first day of camp we did an activity with Mr Harris. We played some games. When we went to Mr Barks we had to get a bit of wood and a tire and pull it up. I went kayaking. Mr Burt was teaching me how to steer his boat. We had to practice our item. We ate hangi food for dinner. It was nice.

On Tuesday my group and I had went to Rock up so we went to the dunker to have fun. But when my group and I got to the dunker it was pretty fun. When it was my turn to get dunked I was a bit scared to go on so I tried my best to not hold on to the gates. But I put my hands on my lap then I dropped down. Then I jumped up and I got out of the dunker. But once I got out I was so cold that I was shaking. But afterwards my group and I had went to the archery. When we got there I tried to get the balloon but I missed it. So then I tried and tried to get it but I kept on missing it so I carried on trying my best to hit that balloon.Then when we finished the archery we went over to the Rock climbing. It was pretty easy for me to climb up the Rock.

My favourite of camp was getting dunked in the dunker at Rock Up. I also liked how my group and I tried our best to get to the other side on the Ski Boards.

School holidays

In the holidays the best thing that I enjoyed was going to the museum. My favourite part was the rocking chairs. As soon as a movie came on, the chairs started rocking. When we finished watching the movie we went home and had dinner.

The next day my cousin and I had a swim in the pool. Then after we finished we ate some fish and chips. Next we jumped on the trampoline and we started to play some wrestling games. When we finished jumping in the pool we started to go in side. Then we played a fun game.

I liked the holidays because we went to places like the museum and I had fun with my family.
